Clopay Model 801 16 ga. Mesh Security Door
SPECIFICATIONS

Part 1 General
1.01 Work Included - Sectional overhead doors shall be as supplied by Clopay Building Products Co. and as shown on plans. Series 801 doors shall be constructed of  tubular steel and diamond shaped expanded steel. 
1.02 Related Work - Opening preparation, miscellaneous or structural metal work, access panels, field painting, field electrical wiring, etc., are in the scope of work of other divisions or trades.

Part 2 Product
2.01 Sections - Construct door sections from commercial quality steel. Section frames shall be constructed of  1" x 2" x 14 ga. steel tube, miter cut and welded for exceptional strength.  Section  panels to be 16 ga. 1/2" x 1/2" diamond shaped expanded steel welded to the steel frame.  Integral 1"x1"x 11 ga. angle welded horizontally as required by size for additional support and security. Meeting rails shall be flat. 
2.02 Track - 2" or 3" track shall be manufactured from heavy gauge galvanized steel. A wedge-type closing action will be accomplished with adjustable vertical track. Vertical track shall be attached to jambs with continuous mounting angle. Horizontal track shall be reinforced with heavy galvanized steel angle.
2.03 Hardware - Shall be heavy gauge galvanized steel. Rollers shall have a continuous steel rim, encasing 10 (ten) hardened 1/4" diameter steel ball bearings. Interior side lock standard. All hinges, brackets and fixtures shall be attached securely to the stiles with 1/4" diameter thread forming screws. 
2.04 Finish - Powder coated finish on section material shall be chemically cleaned before application of safety yellow or industrial gray coating. 
2.05 Reinforcing Struts - Integral 1" x 1" angle welded to frame to prevent horizontal deflection.  
2.06 Counterbalance - Counterbalance shall be oil tempered and helical wound torsion springs engineered to comply with the industry standard 10,000 cycles, extended life cycle optional. (Reference ANSI/DASMA 102)

Part 3 Execution
3.01 Inspection - Inspect the surfaces that the door is to be attached to and ensure that they are structurally sound and properly prepared to receive the door. Review all dimension sizes of the opening and the door to ensure the specified design criteria have been met.
3.02 Installation - Install the doors in accordance with Clopay Building Products instructions and standards. Installation will be by authorized Clopay Building Products Company distributors.

CLOPAY LIMITED WARRANTY
Clopay Building Products  Company, Inc.,  (Clopay) warrants to the original purchaser that each commercial sectional door will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year following the date of purchase, excepting normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse or accident. Labor charges for replacement not included.
